So Midi might be "postponed" (read: canceled) but this is definitely not going to be a year without music. All the international bands coming to Midi already bought their tickets and got their visas--they just need something to do with them.

Yuyintang is opening their doors to all those bands in need and taking in some of the best local Shanghai talent and Midi homeless for a week of music festivities. Cash in your own plane ticket to BJ, grab some friends and your subway card (guitar and tent if you have) and come kick it on Yutintang lawn with some of the hottest international Midi acts and local names. This week is all about being outside, barbecuing, singing being with friends and enjoying the music.

Although the line-up's developing, here's what they've go going so far:
Place: Yuyintang and the big lawn in Tianshan Park (outside of YYT)
Time: 6am-6pm (in the park), after 8pm in Yuyintang

Tickets: RMB40 for students, RMB50 for everyone else

May 2, 8pm-2am
Red Bananas (Hefei), Heaven's Night (Hefei), MIG21 (Shanghai), Old Doll(Nanjing), Angry Jerks (Nanjing) Tickets: RMB40 for students, RMB50 for everyone else

Although not part of the festival, the week after, YYT is also hosting Happiness Street feat. Wu Honefei, Ship of Fools, Brain Failure (at Dream Factory), Brain Failure (at YYT)
