If you’re just passing by, Catie Lo’s shop can easily be mistaken as someone’s living room. There’s an antique piano, a fireplace and a velvet sofa and armchairs casually placed around the room. When you enter the lovely little garden though, Lo greets you with a warm smile, a cup of coffee and an eagerness to help you browse through the wardrobes and shelves until you find that gorgeous piece you’ve always wanted. After studying fashion marketing in Manchester and working as a buyer in London, Lo has loads of knowledge when it comes to chic Western brands and all the guanxi to get the latest pieces fresh from the runway.

The store carries women’s clothing, shoes and accessories and antique-style furniture from more than 100 European and local designers. Among gorgeous Ferragamo heels and Moschino purses, you can also find high street brands ASOS and River Island. Our favorite is a red “Audrey Hepburn” dress (RMB1,400) from Miss Mean—very simple, chic and elegant, just like the late actress. A flamingo-red lambskin bag from Issac Reina (RMB6,200) is also a must-have for the season
