Nanchang Lu is now home to another trendy resident: 208 Vintage. It's a boutique which carries vintage designer bags from Italy and Germany and an eclectic selection of premium imported clothing from Japan as well as accessories for both men and women. Owned by Addy Fang and Monkey, two Shanghainese hipsters who have been in the fashion business for over eight years, the two-month-old shop has already gained a large following of both local and international vintage-loving regulars.
Although there are some gorgeous vintage YSL, Chloe and Gucci purses glimmering on the display shelves, what caught our eye was the selection of men’s vintage briefcases and messenger bags (starting at RMB4,500) from BREE, a top-quality German leather bag maker. All of the bags are in mint condition, with a nice aged look to the leather. There's a 10 percent discount on all items right now, so grab your one-of-a-kind vintage talking piece or feel the regret later.
