Nothing captures our label-loving hearts quite like discovering a new designer to fawn over or a new collection to crave. It was love at first sight when we happened upon this chic shop brimming with elegant clothing and playful accessories. Before opening her own store-front, Roommate owner and clothing designer Heejung Jun worked with an impressive roster of retail giants like Zara, H&M, NEXT and C&A, and the individual necessities here—from a luxurious scoop neck cashmere sweater (RMB2,800) to cigarette jeans in dark denim (RMB590)—are sourced from 12 international designers.

Our heart went pitter-patter for a custom-made pair of knee-high leather boots (RMB3,000) by Japanese shoe brand What I Want and wide-leg silk pants (RMB1,280) from Korean designer No Name. The selection changes almost completely every two weeks, so if you see something you like, get it while you can. Also expect a second Roommate store to open on Yongjia Lu near Maoming Lu by the end of the month. The second location will be a more intimate space with one-of-a-kind pieces and higher price tags to match.
