Shanghai would be the first name that pops into your mind if you are an average Chinese seeking medical treatment for your loved ones. Millions come to Shanghai every year looking for hope in one of the country's most progressive cities. But a huge number of these people have a problem – money. Medical treatment is extremely expensive for a regular Shanghai resident not to mention the cost for those making rural wages. To save money, parents or companions on the trip could live on the streets of the hospital they chose. (see the front page picture)
The Shanghai government is thinking of building *subsidized housing around hospitals to solve this problem, but god knows when real action will take place.

This is an amazing feat considering the global environment for the first half of the year. But amazing feats are usually pretty costly. So we should all look closer while the top officials in Beijing let out a long relaxing breath, maybe we can find something that other developing countries can avoid in the future.

The weather on next Wednesday sudden became the most watched news in China or the world, because everybody wants to be able to look up and watch the world go dark for a few minutes. Pretty cool actually. The Shanghai weather center – known for its forecast inaccuracy – decided to make up a little face and study hard on this one. They will announce their forecast next Monday just to be sure.
