A bloody traffic accident happened again in Hangzhou with a 16 year-old restaurant worker hit and killed by a Porsche driven by a drunken 29 year-old. Yeah, you guessed it from the car, his dead is rich and powerful. The guy has 8 parking tickets and the cases are still pending right now. But I have a feeling he wouldn’t be off that easily this time. Traffic accidents involving the rich and famous have shifted to the center of attention. People are angery all over China. They demand changes.

You know mostly Chinese are very nice people, but when they get angery, collectively on one thing, it gets very scary. The Hangzhou police is already on the move, doing things trying to ease public anger. But it probably wouldn't help this time. So let's follow the case everybody and learn something culture on the way.

• Former president Bill Clinton saves the reporters that were detained by the North Korean government. I guess that’s the latest and biggest real life positive story we have had in a long time. Poor civilians powerless in a dreadful situation saved by the united efforts of the United Stated government represented by the charismatic Bill Clinton. It doesn’t get much better than that in real life. Almost seemed like a scene from a movie. Well, it did happen and I am glad not only for the two reporters and their families, but for the fact that justice and fairness as we know it can really be preserved and upheld in this world. Although, it doesn't happen every time.
  

• I hope you didn’t plan on any outdoor activities this weekend. Unless you wanted to feel 74kph wind blowing at you while standing on slippery ground. Typhoon Morakot will take the lead on weather for the next a few days at least until Sunday this week. If anyone reading this post have friend in high places, really high places, please ask for a favor, because I have had enough of rainy weekends. Right now, the typhoon is at level 7-8 and it’s picking up more power at the sea. Maybe we will see a very strong typhoon. Also, the paper is trying to make this typhoon sound extremely scary. I have heard worst before, but it wasn’t that much of a big deal in the end.
