The weird picture I choose today was actually a favor to the morning post, because you can smell money a hundred miles away from their front page. Curious, take a look at the second picture today. I can hardly find any news, but the big real estate commercial can hardly be missed by anyone with normal or abnormal eyesight. I can see it without my glasses. I mean we all live to make a living, but this is bit over especially for a publication that’s supposed to provide objective information. Let’s hope they can avoid such carelessness in the future.

Anyways, the tunnel and bridge to the island is something really great, plus the two public transportation lines going directly to Chongming island. I mean the most complained aspect of the life in Shanghai compare to other places is that Shanghai doesn’t have any “countryside” or places that you can take a break from the busy and crowded city life. Well, here is your relieve.

Designated as an ecological project by the national government and protected as an eco-island, Chongming will be the perfect getaway for the weekend. But make your plans soon, because there is an estimated 1 to 2 million visitors going to the island each year. Of course, the provincial leaders said that the number of travelers will not affect Chongming’s environment because it already have around seven hundred thousand residents. Yeah, I am gonna believe a government official.
