I have seen news about the typhoon on the front page of the morning post for almost a week now, and I am still not sure whether we had been hit by the typhoon or not. I know it hasn’t landed in Shanghai, but the weird weather over the weekend gave me doubts. Well, according to the morning post, Morakot is the slowest moving typhoon this year. Yeah, maybe that’s the reason why their forecast was off, or maybe their forecast is just bad. Anyways, the typhoon has landed in Fujian this afternoon and its slowly moving up north. It should be here today or tomorrow. We will have strong winds and everything should be back to normal on Wednesday.
If we have news about this tomorrow, I am not writing about it. Because if all of us can still access the site, then things shouldn’t be that bad.
Other Headlines Today
- Last night, police receive a bomb warning on a flight from Afghanistan trying to land in the International Airport of Wulumuqi, the capital of Xinjiang province. Everybody that’s suppose to be on the scene has been pulled out of their beds and the civil aviation department has rejected the plane’s request to enter Chinese border. Trips to Xinjiang? Maybe you should evaluate the benefits, the cost and the risks first. If you still decide to go, then you should.
