Gourmet Week Editorial Review

Nadaman is a famous chain of high-end restaurants in Japan. The owners chose the Shangri-La hotels to be their ambassadors outside of their country of origin, hosting the Nada Man restaurants inside their properties. Shanghai is not the exception, and for that, we are very glad.

Head to second floor of the Shangri-La in Pudong to experience an exquisite repertoire of traditional Kasaki food. The courses, each one carefully prepared, come at precise times and perfectly complement each other. The décor of the place is intimate and personal, allowing for great, private conversation, or a romantic date. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, also welcoming groups in their semi-private and private rooms along the windows.

Out of the outstanding sparkling wine-inclusive, six-course meal, our favorites where the sashimi, which is delicately chosen according to season and quality of the day’s market; the tempura, which is rich in flavor accompanied with the traditional green tea sea salt and fried to perfection; and the homemade green tea ice cream, which lands last on your mouth after the intense culinary tour this meal will take you through.

Featuring these delicious treats, and more, Nadaman is-without a doubt-a must-stop during CW's Gourmet Week. Enjoy!
