CITY WEEKEND EDITORIAL REVIEW

Do not let the sports-bar look and feel fool you. This restaurant has a delightful menu to offer, out of which they have prepared lunch and dinner specials, just for City Weekend’s Gourmet Week.

On this occasion, we decided to try the lunch menu, perfect for a business lunch, or just a wholesome bite in the middle of the day. The set is Thai, featuring four courses from appetizer to dessert.

We started off with the spicy papaya salad as starter, prepared with peanuts and chili spices. Then, the ride continued with the coconut and prawn soup, a semi-spicy concoction of vegetables and prawns all drowned in a coconut milk broth. Simply delicious. For the main course, a green chicken curry was the Chef’s choice; accompanied with a generous portion of rice and vegetables to mix in with the Thai-flavored, mouth-watering dish. After having our entrees, we found ourselves unable to ask for more, however, make sure to leave space for the dessert as it is well worth it. As a final touch to the set menu, the Chef has thrown in a traditional coconut-based cake served with fresh whipped cream and, naturally, a cheery on top. Make sure not to miss it.

After such a hearty meal, we left the restaurant with a broad smile and the desire of an afternoon nap. Although we didn’t get our nap, we were content with having a meal that definitely hit the spot.
