So the name doesn't scream class. But with its shiny exterior and flashy neon lights, G-Spot has already become a playground for Shanghai's young and trendy. The club is divided into two sections, so you can shuffle back and forth between house and R'n'B. A massive TV screen playing trippy projections and a stage for professional exhibitionists dominate the area behind the DJ booth. It's fun to ogle the dancers, but disappointing that the stage is off-limits to the crowd's more average moves. Booths offer reprieve for those who'd rather not be up on stage anyway, but be prepared to fork over plenty of dough. A 15-seater booth costs ?500 in drinks, and the small circular tables go for ?00. Wine, unbelievably, must be bought by the bottle. But if you want a crazy night out watching Chinese rich kids living it up, G-Spot is the perfect spot.
