Mundo Latino
Shanghai's Latin Connection

Looking for something a little "calor"?
Mundo Latino has set up shop on the north end of the bund, offering Shanghai the chance to wine, dine and dance to a Latin rhythm. The food and drinks are mediocre and fairly pricey, at RMB60 for a cocktail, but Mundo's saving grace is its superbly-designed layout, which ensures a variety of experiences. A warmly-lit dining area houses a Latin band that shakes out the standard fare of hits–if intimate salsa is your thing, you'll love the open dance floor. The main bar has a cozy seating in a side room, allowing for quiet conversation. However, the best part is the giant terrace offering a view of both the majestic Huangpu and the historic Bund, which is sure to be packed on Shanghai's "caliente" summer nights. –S.O.
