Jwow

Say hello to Jwow (pronounced "ciao") which is filling Senses' former spot. With a sister bar in Melbourne, the accent is very much on wine. The most obvious changes are the glass wine library (which doubles up as a Red Wine Village sales outlet) along with the glass wine cases in the bar. The East-meets-West design also lends a classy feel. Faux white sofas create a comfortable seating area under oriental-style lampshades in the brick and wooden beam finished room. A 200 plus selection of wine is available by the bottle along with a large, ever-changing list by the glass (mainly ¥50-100). A new food and cocktail menu will soon be launched. With a secluded garden patio area the bar should prove to be a weekend hit, but a Saturday night visit shows it's yet to make its mark on the map.
