On Paper, On Screen: CW blog bloggin' and SMS service
Online publishing is here to stay, and while we love seeing our words in print as much as we love the sound of our own voices, we're ready to head online as well. And mobile. That's right, CW has finally launched a blog to keep you up to date and vocal about what's happening in this crazy city of ours. What's more, you can send listings from the CW website directly to your mobile phone before heading out to that rockin' party. Missed the show? Pretty soon you'll be able to listen to mp3 recordings of your favorite bands online as well, or watch the action in vidcasts. Can't touch this.

Bar Rouge Moving to BJ: No place like home
We've gotten pretty comfortable at the exclusive bar atop Bund 18, so we were happy to hear that in 2008 (though no word on an exact date) Bar Rouge plans to expand to Beijing. Now when we make the hop up north, while it might still be cold and smoggy, we'll still be able to appreciate some of the comforts (read: drinks) of "home." We just hope those live music snobs up north will appreciate it.

Cambodia in the Dong: APSARA branching out
APSARA has grown in popularity since setting up shop on Shaanxi Bei Lu a short time ago and is now preparing to branch out. The new year will see the spa setting up in Pudong. Expect to be able to enjoy a Royal APSARA massage east of the river before Spring.

Oh Otto, My Otto: Good things on the horizon
If you enjoy Otto as much as we do, you'll enjoy hearing that plans are in the works to set up a second Otto on Nanjing Xi Lu and Huangpi Bei Lu. Marketed more as a wine bar than a restaurant, you can expect the same classy, sleek style and a broad selection of fine wines accompanied by tasty gourmet eats. We’re already counting down the days.

Da Marco Hits its Mark: New home in Xujiahui
Though it disappeared from the strolling Yandang Lu path a while back, this popular Italian restaurant found a home a little while ago for its second incarnation in Xujiahui on Caoxi Bei Lu. We'll be sure to refuel there with our favorite pizzas and pastas before hitting the floors of Grand Gateway.

Figaro, Figaro: Moving down the street
Figaro Coffee on Nanjing Xi Lu in the Tian'an Center is shutting down. But, java addicts in the area need not fear. This caffeine destination is simply moving to its new location. How far will we have to walk to get there? About two blocks. It's making a huge two building jump over to the Kohler Building next to Ciro's Plaza. If it suddenly becomes too far for you to get there, we suggest you think of it as a little extra exercise.
