Peaceful Hibernation

The Shanghai Peace Hotel will be closed at the end of March for renovations. Located on Nanjing Dong Lu and close to the Bund, the Hotel was also known as the "Number One Mansion in the Far East" for having received many important people such as Sun Yat-sen, Lu Xun, Charlie Chaplin, George Bernard Shaw and numerous international presidents. The renovation starts in April. It will take a year to complete the face-lift for this Shanghai landmark hotel.
