City Diner (American)

The mother of them all, this Western-style greasy spoon churns out massive portions of burgers, shakes and 114 other dishes 24 hours a day. Conveniently located down the street on Tongren Lu, this is one of the most popular pit stops for bleary-eyed bar crawlers searching for that elusive hangover cure (hint: try the tuna melt).

CJ Chicago (Pizza)

Although not the only 24-hour pizza delivery service in town (see also Yellow Submarine), CJ has cornered the market on Chicago-style pies with delicious thick crusts and overwhelming cheesy goodness. The place also offers other artery-clogging goodies like potato wedges and chicken vesuvio. The lone hassle is the wait for your late night greasefest. Delivery only.

Grand Café (Café)

Stuck in Pudong in the wee hours with a hankering for foie gras? This chic brasserie-style café has your gourmet cravings covered. The European and Shanghainese homestyle dishes are served before wall-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views of the Bund. Housed in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt, the restaurant is great if you're a night owl with class.

Gao Li (Korean)

This quintessential hole-in-the-wall doles out hefty portions of fiery Korean cuisine well into the night. The décor is fairly nonexistent, but each table comes fully equipped with an electric barbecue for your grilling pleasure. Or, feast on faves like kimchi and bibimbap.

Bi Feng Tang (Cantonese)

This convenient Cantonese snack shop is always packed with hungry nightcrawlers looking for a dim sum fix. All the usual steamed suspects can be found, from shrimp dumplings to barbecue pork buns, served piping hot 24 hours a day.
