Where You Live…if you're an edgy editor

Chris Anderson Former Senior Editor Hint Magazine I like living in this part of Jing'an, near the Jade Buddha Temple, more than by the Jing'an Temple as it has more local personality. For example, to get to my place, you walk straight down Hai'an Lu past the crowded street food market on Changhua Lu, then past a sewage plant on your left. If you don't see it, you'll smell it, I promise. If for some reason you can't, smell for the seafood market on your right. Got it? Great, now keep walking down Hai'an until you see a bottle factory on your left. Take a left under the bridge by the public restrooms and voila! You've found my complex. I can walk to work from here and getting around Shanghai is easy–it's just 15 minutes to Hanzhong Lu on Metro Line 1. I can also hop over to ArtSpace or the Jade Buddha Temple just around the corner.
