Jean-David Spira: Restaurant Manager
I am the manager at JW's California Grill at the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai. Conveniently, I live near where I work so I guess I hit two birds with one stone. I live in the Huangpu disctrict, on Chongqing Bei Lu to be precise, three minutes walking distance from my work. Not only am I living close to the hotel, which is very comfortable (especially in the morning!), but I am next to People's Square. So basically, I have the heart of Shanghai right at my doorstep: restaurants all over the place, shopping malls, two metro lines, supermarkets, four museums and People's Park (where I still can't get over the fact that on Sundays they have an "English Corner"). Xintiandi, a place where I take all the guests that visit me, is also nearby. There's also Huaihai Zhong Lu which has more stores and I also have access to Barbarossa's great happy hour. I couldn't ask for a better place to live!
