Where You Work... if you're a marketer
Ben Shipley: Director of Special Projects at Confucius Says

Our office looks out from a 1930s space on Fuzhou Lu and Jiangxi Lu. We have been here a little over a year; I love the noise and the bikes, a constant reminder of the size and scale of the city. Development is coming on strong in the Bund area, with restaurants and cafés popping up nearly every week. Local legend Shanghai Grandmother has just closed to undergo a refit in the face of increasing competition for the lunchtime dollar. I loathe trying to get a cab out of here when it's raining, as taxis just seem to dissolve at the first drop but the trip in to work each morning, snaking along the gaojia and finally sweeping down onto the Bund where the views of Pudong shine in the morning sun.
