FASHIONISTA: Coolness Incarnate
Stunning, stylish and scintillating are just three ways to describe this poised princess. Her attitude-filled style of dressing is only for those full of sassy confidence. A juxtaposition of fashion past and fashion future, this look is polished yet frenetic. The black Jackie O. inspired shift dress with hip pockets was purchased at Content and her futuristic gray and yellow tights (only for those with legs this divine-she's not a personal trainer for nothing) are achievable by visiting b+ab. "I love this dress," says Adela. "It's durable and comfortable." As coolness incarnate, with never a hair out of place, you can find her in this outfit shaking her groove thing to deep house techno at The Shelter, checking out small art spaces like [the studio] or relaxing and treating herself to a massage. Taking a leaf out of grandma's book, Adela matches all her accessories with a delicious modern twist. The self-confessed addict of the color yellow couldn't resist the temptation of these pieces. "This spring, I was drawn to all things yellow, but I'm now trying to make the shift over to blues and greens," she says. Adela picked up the attention grabbing lemon zest-colored handbag and shoes at Maggie and Peggy and Hot Wind, respectively. But the matching doesn't stop there. The little drops of sunshine hanging around her neck and that funky black belt are easily found by visiting Star Place. Her other accessories, thrown in to show that one doesn't have to always play by the rules, like the daring pink scarab beetlesque bracelet and other thin gold bangles, can be easily bought at Maggie and Peggy, too. As for the pooch, he's a one of a kind. "I was dog-sitting for a friend," Adela explains. "I don't think there are too many of him out there."
