FASHIONISTA: Fun Loving Minimal
This adorable roller girl skates into the heart of everyone she meets. With that award-winning grin and wild mane of red hair, this adventurous go-getter knows how to have fun in Shanghai. As creative as she is fun-loving, when not taking photos for her day job, this gal likes to spend her time trawling the lanes of Taikang Lu searching for interesting types to grace the pages of her and her partner's website, http://streetshanghai.com. Always influenced by Shanghai, she loves all this great city has to offer. "I'm constantly inspired by the contrasts, randomness, liveliness of the streets and the never-ending visual stimulation of this city," says Anna. Her comfortable outfit, perfect for being active in Shanghai's stifling summer heat, suits her natural exuberance. Her emerald green, midriff-baring singlet is a simple basic from UNIQLO (who knew their clothes could be so racy?). Those chocolate jersey yoga pants from Decathlon are so comfortable that she raced to the fabric markets on Lujiabang Lu to have more made. The white and red roller skates were found after searching through the Shanghai A.P. Xinyang Fashion & Gifts Market and Anna's funky red and silver shoelaces can be bought from any street peddler around Shanxi Lu. For the finishing touches, her hat, a reminder of her love of all things dress-up, was found at the ever eclectic Yu Gardens, as were the silver bracelet, ethnic beads and silver pendant of the handmade necklace that she made herself (I told you she was creative!). For those without opposable thumbs or that creative gene, you can find a similar necklace at Hari Rabu. Not shy in front of nor behind the camera, this gal's personality bursts out at you no matter where she is. --Krisha Bartlem
