Supermoms may be aplenty, but supermoms with a rocking sense of style and a personality oozing with pizzazz, armed with a hot bod and an impressive level of fitness are hard to find. "My style is a reflection of my personality and love for fitness,” Eve says, continuing, "the stronger and fitter I am, the more daring my style gets," as evidenced by her traffic-halting fuschia and orange Marimekko H&M (Jialidu Building, 645-659 Huaihai Zhong Lu) maxi skirt. "When I wear this skirt it always reminds me of my beloved Mexico," she reflects, "walking on the beach in Ixtapa and madly in love." Her style, which she calls "Madonna in Mexico," an ode to her style icon Madonna, showcases her sexiness and is ripe with a femininity that is juxtaposed with physical fitness. "While I love everything about fashion, I still have to [be] practical [with my wardrobe] due to my busy schedule which takes me from boardrooms to playgrounds and to the trainer's," Eve tells me. When she's not busy working, being a mom to her three kids, shopping up a storm on Changle and Julu Lu, or scouring MaxStudio (Parksons Hongqiao, 100 Zunyi Lu, Shanghai Times Square), where she got her tank top, or Zara (99 Huaihai Zhong Lu), you can find Eve working up a sweat kickboxing with trainer Tomer Oz at Oz Body Fit studio or chilling with her friends and Rutgers Executive MBA classmates at MAYA. Another love that shouldn’t be left unmentioned? "Shoes," says the owner of the Betsey Johnson pair featured in this Fashionista. "My friends call me ‘Imelda’ and it’s been a challenge moving to Shanghai because I wear a size 40–yes, 40." Eve is used to getting incredulous looks when she requests her size, but peeking inside her wardrobe, salespeople, I think that the joke’s on you.
