I was quite happy to see an ice hockey league here in Shanghai, although I should not be surprised. It is a sport that is played with much enthusiasm and once it gets in your blood, it never leaves you. Although the cold winter days are past us and spring has arrived, I'm still ready to hit the ice. Unfortunately, among the bags I brought with me here from the U.S., I didn't include my hockey equipment! But, I've asked family members back home to send out my stuff, so hopefully I will be lacing up my skates shortly. As things warm up, the season's coming to an end, but they're sticking it out with pick-up games duing the week. The four team league is made up from a collection of Canadian, American, European and Asian players. I hope to join them soon. Hopefully before the pool melts!
