Fiver Café: An Incredible Little Wi-Fi Café Find

Fiver Café is tucked away down a residential alley; its only identifying feature is a small chalkboard set up outside. But this tiny gem is worth finding. We steered away from the more substantial Fiver big breakfast (RMB38) and tuna salad sandwich (RMB35) since the kitchen seems to consist of only a hotplate and sink, but one bite into the tiramisu (RMB25) and it was clear that we’d underestimated the owner’s abilities. The cake is creamy and rich, with just the right amounts of coffee and alcohol. By the time our server had brought us complimentary shortbread cookies to accompany our hot chocolate (RMB30) and turned on the tunes, we were high Fiver-ing ourselves for this Wi-Fi café find.

Our rating: 4/5
