Personalized Pampering
This branch of Diva Life Nail & Beauty Lounge is hidden in an alley on Ruijin Er Lu which was just as well, since we were seeking an urban escape away from noise, traffic and all things disruptive. Our treatment room inside the lane house retreat was decked out in dim lighting with a purple fabric canopy on the ceiling that added to the relaxing atmosphere. Our chosen package, the Diva Sampler, consisted of a 45-minute oil massage, a deep cleansing facial and a manicure or pedicure, and it didn't disappoint. The masseuse's firm strokes loosened the knots in our shoulders and chased away the fatigue in our muscles. We fell fast asleep until the technician tapped us gently to begin the facial. Using Payot products from France, our skin was thoroughly cleansed and prepped for absorbing the moisturizing agents from the rich products. The care taken to ensure that every inch of our visage was pampered was thoroughly appreciated, as was the shoulder rub given while the face mask was being absorbed by our pores. Once complete, we couldn't stop admiring our glowing, supple skin. We selected a pedicure over a manicure for our final treat of the evening, and as we sipped our warm drink and browsed through glossies, the nail technician sloughed away our dry heels and then finally frosted our toes with a pretty shade of pink from the OPI nail polish line. We left feeling rejuvenated and calm with a slight sense of giddiness over our newfound pampering routine. If only every night was like this.
