It's another smoking hot weekend in Shanghai. The sun is shining. The temperature is clement. S.T.D at Not Me looks good tonight, with the Eli Smith of So Sweet Records on the decks. Start there, then move to Dada where B6 has promised to oil up and wrestle Berlin-based producer Ralph Zuckermann - either that or they're going to play some records.
If you're sick, book in for a checkup at the second Crazy Hospital party at Paramount Partyroom. If you're just feeling a little German, take in Oktoberfest at Paulaner Brauhaus on Fenyang Lu. They do it proper, there.
Oh, and the China DMC Champ is playing with the Lab Crew and a gang of other hip-hop dudes at the Back to the Roots night at The Shelter.
Tomorrow, more Teutonic fun as MAO Livehouse Shanghai hosts costumed metal and dark rock exponents Subway to Sally. Boxing Cat has an Oktoberfest party with live music, German food and fastest-beer-chugging competitions. A load of international handball players are going to be there, too.
Later that night, Not Me has another night of rubbish mixing with Badtastic, while The Shelter will see some much better mixing from Thai DnB star DJ Dragon.
On Sunday, there's Chinese folk from Low Wormwood at Yuyintang and Santo's regular disco night at Dada.
