WHERE YOU DRINK...If you're an artsy observer

Anna S. McLean: Creative teacher/ marketer
It's a Friday night and "us girls" are looking for something out of our ordinary to cap off the evening. With a deep desire for champagne and a beautiful view, we decide to head to Jade on 36 on the other side of the tracks to sip on some bubbly and exhale after the busy week. With a giggle in our step and a feeling of adventure about us (considering our trek to the "other side") we decide to follow through with the ingenious idea of catching the scenic tourist tunnel from one end to the other back to our hubs in Puxi. We might first stop at Atanu (aka The Lighthouse) right next to the water keeping the expedition afloat with a cocktail in hand. When it's time for the norm, we hop-skip-step and lengthy cab ride it to our regular haunt, The Shelter where we enjoy cheap drinks and a funky vibe with familiar faces.
