WHERE YOU EAT: Lip Chiong

Lip Chiong: Architect & Interior Designer
I like to visit places that are interesting, be it for a dining experience with a twist or a special setting that makes my meal and drinks with close friends extra memorable. A recently opened restaurant and lounge called Mojo Mania (Contemporary Chinese) at 30 Donghu Lu serves exquisitely presented Chinese concept cuisine. I had a great time hanging out at dinner with a group of friends on one of the dining beds, and after dinner we had their delicious Mojo cocktails at the third floor bar. There is an old villa-turned-Shanghainese restaurant called Fu 1039 (Shanghai). I love these old handsome Shanghainese villas, with wooden floors, handrails, cornices and ornamented walls. A friend of mine threw a farewell dinner party there and we booked two of their dining rooms--ideal for a bit of Chinese-style dinner entertaining. Always looking for new places, I visited roomtwentyeight (Fusion) in the Urbn Hotel, which is great for a long casual lunch while enjoying their calming view in the bamboo zen garden.
