Description

Harry, a 51-year-old retrenched security supervisor, is forced to find work driving a taxi. One of the older generation left behind in society’s race for money and status, he rails against the inflation and bemoans his limited education. His wife gambles away his savings and their relationship unravels. His son disowns him and throws him out of his wedding. Harry, feeling betrayed, disappointed and rejected, dreams of migrating to Perth in Western Australia, a paradise of tranquility. However, he gets only as far as the red-light district where a relationship with a Vietnamese prostitute changes his life. Film is in Chinese and English with Chinese Subtitles. Begins on 10.29 at 6:30pam, on 11.1 at 8:30pm
