Sun Qingfeng and Qian Yunjun are disdainful of any conscious artistic influences or other temporal elements that would frame their work. In place is an acceptance of the flow of time and contentment found as consequence of their austere spirituality.

Time is of the Essence
Good art doesn't match your sofa, and this "off the beaten track" contemporary art exhibition does not follow the mainstream Chinese Contemporary art scen. Rather, it is "art in pure form" which exposes the artists' inner persona through portrayals of their individual experiences.
American artist Fei Rui Ke's "A Bird in Hand is Worth Two in the Bush" combines Western style painting with an Eastern flare. The painting consists of colored shapes that create a conversation between the painting and the viewer, allowing the tranquil image to express a new reflection upon each glance.
Th title suggests the amount of time involved with each piece of work; whether it is the time the artist spent to produce it or the time for the audience to react or interact with it.
Curator Li Xiaofeng understands the true aesthetics of fine art, that it is meant to educate its' viewers about society, culture and thought process. He believes the true essence of good art doesn't have the yuan or dollar symbol but is priceless to its viewers.
Like Fei’s piece, the other works on display reflect the personal consciousness of their makers, the artists themselves, encouraging viewers to look beyond the layers of mixed media and to explore their own conscience.
