S.T.D. - Xi'An Takeover

It's been quite some time now since S.T.D. has pulled together a rock show, and although it was nice to take a break and hibernate...it seems that it's time to pull up our socks and get this shit going again.

After weeks of trying to co-operate with venues and their people...S.T.D. has decided to hell with it and throw another epic party on the lighthouse independently and it's gonna be a bigger comeback than any of the new Stallone films.

In a similar vein to the NYE party...we are going to set up a stage on the very top floor of the lighthouse/Atanu Bar (yes open air on the balcony), host 3 amazing bands from out of town, set up camera's around the stage and have it displayed through out the screens inside the lighthouse and simultaneously have STD dj's playing a selection of dancerock, electroclash, new rave, ghettotech and trash disco. 4 floors, 3 bands, 4+ DJ's, 360 degrees of the Bund and 1 cup.

It was beautiful when we did it the first time to celebrate the New Year....well this time we are celebrating the return of the only consistent rock+electronic party in Shanghai...and despite the bollocks that live music faces here....we will poop all over it and keep live music....alive and kicking. Come Unprotected and rally around the family with a pocket full of ....Xi'an bands.
