Description -
The class will begin with a short introduction of “The Love-Hate Relationship between the Vocalist and the Accompanist!” In addition, there will be a brief overview of how to make contact with your audience. Following the introduction, each of the 5 singers will individually perform his or her selection. Ms. Gifford will critique and comment on each performance offering suggestions and demonstrations.
It is not mandatory to have attended Part I of THE SINGERS WORKSHOP SERIES to enjoy this Jazz Vocal Master Class. Performers will prepare one selection of music to perform for critique and comments. Selections should not be more than 4 minutes in length. Performers must bring 2 copies of their lead sheet to the class. Mr. John Trzcinski, jazz pianist (USA), will be in attendance for any participant in need of an accompanist. Lead sheet for Mr. Trzcinski in your key must accompany class registration.
Class size: Limited to 5 performers and unlimited audience members.

Perform or just come watch as five vocalists take to the JZ stage and perform in front of a panel of JZ School teachers. Debbie Gifford will comment and critique each singer's performance and will offer suggestions and demonstrations on how to better interact with the audience. Limited to five performers, open audience.
