An evening of Italian camaraderie showcasing a stellar 5-course menu and Single Malt Whisky presents itself in the private wine cellar room at Favola Italian Restaurant on 25 April 2008.

A chic evening of fine drinks and food await, while guest speaker Peter Kendall, brand ambassador of Talisker Whiskey leads through the discovery of Single Malt and food pairing. Discerning palates are feted to an authentic display of Northern Italian cuisine creatively presented by Chef Christian Frigo, Chef de Cuisine at Favola Italian Restaurant. The menu inspired by Whiskey highlights such as Pan-fried scallops with crushed fava bean black truffle emulsion to pair with Clynelish 14 year old; Pears & Pecorino cheese ravioli with toasted almond butter to pair with Glenkinchie 12 year old; then served with Green apple sherbet; Grilled beef Striploin coated with pepper, truffle flavored ricotta cheese quenelle, eggplant + ginger chutney to pair with Talisker 10 year old; for guests with a sweet teeth, Milk chocolate and mango mousse, almond praline, cooked milk sauce pairing with Glen Elgin 12 year old would round off the whole dining experience.

Hailing from North of Italy, Chef Christian Frigo specializes in Italian cuisine as an unconditional believer in the usage of fresh seasonal ingredients. Instead of following the ever-changing trends, he prefers to follow the path of the cuisine of flavors, taste and tradition, presented, certainly with creativity and elegance. As Chef Christian says, “Its always a challenge to make a really simple dish, but to make it perfectly,” Chef Christian is demonstrating to the city what means “La vera Cucina Italiana!”

Priced at RMB550 nett per person (limited to 20 seats), the dinner starts from 07:00 p.m. on 25 April 2008 (Friday).
