Description -
Cook and enjoy 40 wonderful dishes: from appetizers to wok dishes, from the hot Sichuan to the sweet Shanghai, from heart-warming soups to the great dumplings. With a theme for each week, you'll discover how to combine local ingredients and techniques to create authentic, delicious while balanced meals.
Various aspects of Chinese cookery will be covered: local seasonings and ingredients, traditional cooking techniques, regional styles, varieties of flavors, seasonal selections, plating and presentation, and medicinal foods, all weaved into this 10-week course.
2 reputable chefs are going to lead you through this culinary journey: with clear demonstrations that show you exactly what to do and necessary instruction when you try with own hands. Miranda is your friendly host and companion, translating and putting in sprinkles of cultural background and practical shopping tips.
A bonus activity of making festival food together is incorporated into the program, a unique opportunity to see, to understand and to experience the way local Chinese celebrate the traditional Dragon Boat Festival.
All necessary course materials, such as ingredients, utensils, aprons, recipes, chopsticks for tasting, and take-home boxes will be supplied.
Take the whole course to get a systematic grounding and an impressive portfolio of Chinese cuisine, or pick only those of your strongest interest, your choice!
