Introduction to Operation Sichuan Relief Operation Sichuan Relief (OSR) is a serious collaboration of the foreign community in Shanghai as dedicated partners aiming to make a significant contribution to the relief efforts in Sichuan, China. From the devastating effects of the May 12th 2008 earthquake, OSR believes in a social duty to help aid the victims of this tragedy. Focused on the inspiration of the rebuilding efforts of Sichuan, OSR has aligned with the Jet Li One Foundation, a charitable organization that embodies the Red Cross’s spirit of humanity and philanthropy. OSR’s mission is to bring people together for the common goal of fund raising and rebuilding of the areas affected by the earthquake. On May 26th 2008, the OSR will hold a Charity Dinner – Auction Night at the Westin Hotel Ballroom. Donations to the Red Cross Society of China Jet Li One Foundation Project will be raised for funds towards the Sichuan Relief and Rebuilding efforts. The night will consist of a dinner as well as a silent auction. All items proceeds from table sales and auction have been donated from sponsors with 100% of proceeds and ticket sales going to charity. OSR hopes that both the foreign and local community will support them in their efforts to come together on this evening of compassion and unity, as well as provide opportunities afterwards to help in the rebuilding efforts.
