A Food-Culture Experience offered by The Kitchen at..Huaihailu Cooking Studio

Zong Zi (粽子) – rice dumplings wrapped in reed leaf, traditional food of Duan Wu (端午节 Dragon Boat Festival)

Join us in our home-style kitchen on the Dragon Boat Festival, sit together with local Shanghainese ladies and learn how to make Zong Zi with fresh reed leaves and sticky rice, and celebrate the festival with your own wrapped dumplings. Vegetarian and meat fillings both available. Every person will make 4 dumplings to take home. Recipes provided. We will set up a donation box for Sichuan Earthquake. All donation will be made through Chinese Red Cross Foundation (http://124.42.9.131/) within 3 days after event. You’re welcome to invite friends to join.
