Description

ARCH Bar/ café will play host for a site-specific installation based on the Chinese punk band, LOUDSPEAKER by contemporary illustrator and graphic artist Nick Hersey. His works include acetate transfers, screen prints and a limited run of customized band T Shirts produced especially for the show.

Nick is a British born artist, currently residing and working in Shanghai. Nick’s explores social disenfranchisement and modern culture and how this can change the way Youth express themselves. Using his commercial graphic skills and working in close cooperation with his subjects he explores the innate contradictions between the human voice and the brand identity which is beginning to dominate capitalist cultures.

His work will be on display at ARCH Bar/ Café – Changshu rd beginning june 29 and will run for 6 weeks.
