It is a very brand new group event you can join here in Shanghai. Shanghai is not just about shopping, clubbing and eating. It is also about looking for all the real but gradually disappearing traditions and places. Would you like to be one of the witnesses with us to experience the old within the new?

What? Shanghai Treasure Hunt

Who? You and your friends or colleagues who wish to discover the REAL Shanghai. Play in teams.

Where? The hidden parts of Shanghai

When? Every Saturday 3:00pm-7:00pm rain or shine. 7:00pm onwards for dinner and maybe hangout together afterwards.

How much? RMB299 (RMB249 for kids of under 16)

Why? To discover the real Shanghai! All the hunts are designed to let players discover the hidden parts of Shanghai or rediscover Shanghai in a whole new light. Teams are going to experience real Shanghai culture, art and people, to build up teamwork spirit, or just simply have a weekend afternoon filled with laughter and sweat.

How? Each hunt consists of a few clues, or puzzles, and tasks that must be collaboratively solved by a team of four to six players. Each clue leads to a unique, secret location, an off-the-beaten track treasure spot that is a joy to discover (we want to lead players to unforgettable sights that most tourists and many residents never knew existed), where awaits a task the team must complete to continue on to the next activity. The hunters have a fixed time in which to solve as many clues as possible, go to each location and find a hidden token, complete the interesting and challenging tasks, then return to a final meeting sight where we have a final score to see which team has done the best.

It's time to explore this wonderful city in a new and inventive way. Grab your friends, your family, or the nearest pirate and get in on a citywide treasure hunt. Participating teams will be given a set of clues that will lead them to a variety of unique spaces around the city. Once you arrive, your team will have to complete a puzzle or task before moving on to the next location. Teams will reconvene to find out who the top gumshoes are, then head out for some tasty Chinese food before calling it a day. Contact for further details.
