Multimedia conference : Shanghai Compass

This month at the Alliance Francaise, French photographer and director Florent Nicolas Wendling will be introducing “Shanghai Compass”, an interactive photography exhibition presented at the Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art from July 9th to 13th.

“Shanghai Compass” is an interactive journey to the heart of Shanghai, during which visitors discover animated sequences of HD photos, synchronized onto two widescreens. Historical monuments, famous buildings, parks, factories, the Shanghai docks… are the framework for this multidimensional voyage, to which one can travel with the help of a compass, projected onto the ground.

Florent Nicolas Wendling moved to Shanghai in 2003, after working in publicity and TV directing in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and San Fransisco. He now works on interactive film projects and art photography. His work bears witness to his fascination for Shanghai and reflects his artistic vision of this great 21st century metropolis.
