Known as King of mountains in Sichuan , the Gongga Mountain , 7556 meters above sea level, is situated east of the Tibet and west of the Sichuan . In Tibetan language, "Gong" means ice, while "Ga" means "white". Gongga Mountain , the leading peak in the snow-covered mountains of the west of Sichuan is the highest mountain in Sichuan Province .

In the high and steep Gongga Mountain , the snow does not melt perennially. Looking from distance, the mountain seems like appearing on indistinct boundless snow sea with solemn and mystery, which cause people's respect easily. Especially in fine days, the magnificent view that the mountain is dyed by rosy clouds can not be imagined except for a real experience.

Located at the foot of the snow-peak of Mt.Gongga, Hailuogou Scenic Spot is celebrated for modern glacier at a height below sea level (most of the glaciers in the world is at a height above sea level). The sparkling modern glacier slides from the high and steep ravine. The quiet mountain ridge is adorned with big snowfall into the crystal domes and jade halls. A huge ice-bridge make the visitors seem to enter the Crystal Palace in a myth. Especially unique large icefall, 1,000 meters in height, over 1,100 meters in breadth. This is really marvelous spectacle of nature.

On this week long trip, you'll travel to the foot of the Hailuogou glacier where you'll enter a a totally different realm of ice and snow. The kilometer high ice flow is truly amazing.
