I would invite Dwight Howard. I love that thing he does with his eyes when he makes a slam dunk--imagine what he'll do after aone-of-a-kind barbecue meal!

-
I clearly entered the wrong competition with the comment above. Please ignore!!

-
Bubba Thornton of Texas cause we all know tht Texas has the best BBQ.
-
-
Yao Ming because he loves BBQ

I have 2 options because I can never make a decision!
Option 1: Team USA swimmer, Eric Shanteau. I just saw him on CCTV giving a press conference--that is one gorgeous mer-man! Everyone knows the way to a man's heart is through his stomach...and I'm a girl who actually eats!
Option 2: Those US cyclists who wore black air masks to the Beijing airport. I wanna see what's really up with those masks. What better way to get to the bottom of something than over some yummy BBQ and a few pints??

KOBE BRYANT. Bring him to Itsuki to have some good Wagyu BBQ's and see how he slam dunks them for dinner.
-
-
Bernard Hopkins; Because why not? He'll 'mean mug' the hell out of anyone.
-
-
Sharapova and Federer - we need some hot figures!
-
-
Lionel Messi..1.he's really young & extremely talented;2.he had to go through to actually participate;3.being from Argentina, he'll know what real meat is all about
-
-
Michael Phelps. He is trying to beat Spitz record of 7 golds in swimming, so a seat at New Heights for some barbecue in Pudong overlooking the bund, may tempt him to jump and swim across the Yangpu to set another world record
-
-
Le Bron James because I could balance lots of beers on his gigantic long arms and he'd be sure to win a "ravaged rib" trash can shooting competition.
-
-
The entire women's beach volleyball team...every team that was compteting! An Olympic BBQ needs plenty of athletic bikinis, which goes well with sangria and beer.
-
-
The gold medalist of the men's weightlifting, since he deserves such a feast.
-
-
Heck, why not every gold medal winner of every event...if I'm going to throw a party with plenty of food and drink, why not make it a night of abundance and have plenty of gold flashing throughout the evening!
-
-
i would invite all those who come up last in all the events, hey guys let us have fun cause it is not only about competition.
-
-
Phelps! after he won 8 golden medals!
-
-
I'd invite all the athletes who are participating in events with weight class limitations.. say Olympic weightlifting, wrestling, boxing, etc...
These poor souls have been training and trying to maintain their weight for the past 4 years! They deserve to gorge on some burgers, ribs and have a beer after these mentally and physically draining events...
Come and eat with us, my friends! For once, be human and let yourselves go!
-
-
Eric the Eel - just keep those BBQ sticks away, I don't won't Eric Unagi on my hands...
-
-
I would invite Abhinav Bindra, who won India's first individual gold medal by winning the 10 metre air rifle event. When he won, he lifted a nation with him. I would invite him, and let him know how great he is not to one nation, but the idea of what Olympics is about to everyone.
-
-
the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team, who inspired the kool movie "Cool Runings" in 1993, because they carry the real of Coubertin's Olympic Spirit: to participate and persevere is more important than to win.
-
-
What's a BBQ without Brazilians? I'd invite Cesar Cielo Filho, the new Olympic Record holder of the 50m freestyle (21.34).
If you saw his win on Aug 15, you would have appreciated his absolute joy and moment of glory. He couldn't believe his eyes, and his friends and fans went nuts too.
Just imagine the BBQ to celebrate...!
-
-
I'd invite Michael Phelps even though I'm Australia, after all he's the talk of the games!
-
-
As a Shanghainese, Liu Xiang of course. Eating is always a pleasure for me, so hope it helps him to feel better and overcome the tough time...

Congratulations to shpgg for your very fitting answer! You and three of our friends have won passes to CW's Olympic Party at Park Tavern on August 24 to watch the Men's Basketball medal match.

The boys from Brazil will dance through to the semis with their impressive array of talent from some of the top European sides. Once in Shanghai they'll locate a Brazilian Steak House (the all-you-can-eat kind) and feed themselves into a Samba frenzy. Consequently, this will produce performances of grandeur in the final two matches leading to an inevitable Brazilian gold!
