The Spot Shanghai opened its doors September 2006. Strategically located in downtown Shanghai, The Spot caters to everyone from all over the world. With a seating capacity of about 200, the interior provides a refreshing approach to dining with a Southeast Asian inspired motif. Its international cuisine composes of food that will delight and tingle your taste buds. The wide array of alcoholic drink concoctions will make you want to visit this bar not only during Happy Hour. Aside from seducing your palate, there are foosball tables and a pool table for those who look for a good challenge every now and then. Sports events are broadcasted on several plasma televisions. Every night guests can party to diverse music… and during the weekends, partying is defined anew with DJ’s and live bands for a euphoric experience.

From 1920 to 1933, the United States went through the period known as the “Prohibition”, when selling, manufacturing and transportation of alcohol was illegal. Yet gangsters who dominated the streets were the ones providing such commodity. Each major city had its gangster element, and the most famous of these cities was Chicago with Al Capone. Capone was “Public Enemy No. 1” and made millions with speakeasy operations. F. Scott Fitzgerald once commented during this time that "the parties were bigger… the pace was faster...and the morals were looser." On September 10, 2008, The Spot is celebrating its 2nd year anniversary… Speak Easy Gangsta Style! Last year’s festivity was wild and crazy with the Honolulu spirit. This year, join us to experience a whole new definition of the “Roaring 20’s”, The Spot style…

The Spot is a complete package with its great food and drinks, a wonderful ambiance, exciting and friendly people. Utopia manifested! So what are you waiting for? “Let’s Meet At The Spot!” We’re located at #331 Tong Ren Lu (Beijing Lu), open everyday from 11:00am to 2:00am, weekends until 3:00am. You can call us at 6247-3579.
