The London Flood
For a nation whose pop culture icons include Dr. Who, we think it's safe to say that Britain has a proud tradition of tongue-in-cheek exaggerated action dramas the latest incarnation of which is now heading to the big screen as an enormous tidal wave threatens to engulf the country's capital. In this latest disaster movie, Flood, a raging storm alters course, heading directly for the northeastern coast of England and jeopardizing the lives of 1.5 million Londoners. Stuck in a bind thicker than the London fog, marine engineers Rob (Robert Carlyle) and Sam ( Jessalyn Gilsig) and meteorologist Leonard (Tom Courtenay) have only three hours to save the city before it's submerged.
