JZ School is pleased to announce new drama classes for children. Parents and kids are cordially invited to come and meet the teacher, an actress/drama coach from the UK, and try the first class(es) for free.

Caterpillar Children's Drama Group ages 3 to 5

11.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturday October 11th

This group will focus on movement, physicality and memory while having fun! The aim of the group will be to perform the Christmas play "Dog in a Manger" by Raymond Blake. All the children will have a chance to discover their inner dissatisfied animal!

Each child will have their own small number of lines. There will be a lot of group work but they will also have their own chance to shine and take the spot light!

The first couple of sessions will will focus on movement and representation of daily activities, animals and feelings. While the remaining time will focus on creating the play itself.

The class runs for 10 weeks (10 hours) until December 13th with a grand performance on December 14th. Cost = 1500 RMB

Butterfly Children's Drama Group ages 6 to 9

2 to 4pm on Saturday October 11th

This group will focus on ensemble work and creating defined theatrical characters!

The class outcome will be to perform "Yo Ho Ho (A Pirate Christmas)" by Sue Gordon. Each child will be able to bring life to their own Pirate character and take part in ensemble songs and chants.

Each child will have their own lines to learn and movement, but some of the play will be left to their imaginations and devised by them. Imagination will be allowed to run wild!

The first one and a half sessions will be workshops on creating characters and building confidence with movement and physicality. The remaining sessions will be focused on rehearsing the play and allowing the group to create a final product which will be truly unique.

The class runs for 10 weeks (20 hours) until December 13th with a grand performance on December 14th. Cost = 2500 RMB
