A duo exhibition by Chad Ingraham and Natalie Hill
Six people are found slaugtered in a kitchen, a mysterious light appears at one-three-three-one Fuxing road.
It's secret, furtive... clandestine.
Recipe for Disaster by Chad Ingraham A massacre takes place in a restaurant: chef, waiter, waitress, cleaning lady and dining couple are slaughtered with commonplace vegetables. Who is the killer? An angry customer? A disgruntled ex-employee? A vegetarian? Or have the vegetables themselves had enough of being merely ingredients ?
One-three-three-one by Natalie Hill An unidentified light becomes attracted to an old apartment block on Fuxing road. The light dashes from place to place fixating on seemingly ordinary objects and structures. Is this an alien light or are there more mundane forces at work?
Chad Ingraham and Natalie Hill's purposely stylized work seeks to explores how to use the medium of photography to produce fantastical images which stimulate thought and tickle the soul.

Photographers Chad Ingraham and Natalie Hill put on a whimsical, darkly humorous staged art photography exhibition. Ingraham's "Recipe for Disaster" is a whodunnit when a massacre by vegetables occurs at a restaurant - with the greens themselves as possible suspects. Hill's "One-three-three-one" Fuxing Lu ponders a strange, moving light at an old apartment block.

I used to work with Natalie Hill and became interested in her photography. She did some funky art and creative work, so I'm excited to see her exhibition with Chad Ingraham. Her series is about an unidentified light which suddenly appears near where she lives at “One-three-three-one” Fuxing Lu. I like this kind of photography as it allows my own imagination to run wild. I'm keen to see more of Chad's “Recipe for Disaster” series as well. It depicts kitchen staff being slaughtered by vegetables–brilliant! It's beautifully shot and darkly entertaining. It will definitely be refreshing to see an exhibition in Shanghai that has a sense of humor and explores the fantastic.
