Queer movie festival

See a feature length gay Chinese movie, a lesbian skit, and two short queer films in an event sponsored by the lesbian organization Tongyu, the magazine "les+," the Beijing Queer Film Festival Committee, the China Independent Queer Film Group, and the Chi Heng Foundation.
Includes Q&A session about the movies / drama, with several directors present. These include Han Chen, the young director of "Fire in Silence" ("Guhuo") 《孤火》(filmed in 1996 when he was a college freshman), and Fan Popo, the gay recent grad interviewed in the recent video that begins at Beijing's Destination bar (see: http://www.metropolistv.nl/?p=772&lang=en ) , and author of an article in the September, 2008 《点 》 "Gay Spot" magazine (pg. 28-29) about this traveling gay/lesbian film festival: http://www.weour.net/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=4195&page=1&extra=page%3D1
Screenings include "Fire in Silence" ("Guhuo") 《孤火》(see trailer at: http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/9AlB-NtYJdQ/ ), a short documentary about gay life in Taipei - "Taibei - Caihong zhi Cheng" 《台北:彩虹之城》, a short documentary about a lesbian pride parade in San Francisco - "Nvtongzhi Lvxingri"《女同志游行日》, together with the short lesbian skit - "Zhe yi ye, women shuo T"《这一夜,我们说T 》.
This event commemorates the 20th holding of World AIDS Day, and the second anniversary of the Chi Heng lesbian hotline.
Cost: 15 yuan (Chi Heng Foundation volunteers free). Refreshments provided.
