For Tan Dun's Ghost Opera, the Kronos Quartet had their instrumental abilities stretched to include various percussion, wind instruments, and vocals and were joined by pipa virtuoso Wu Man. The concert will include this new approach on Tan Dun's Ghost Opera, as well as some re-enhanced versions of the Quartet's classic material. Tickets are RMB880/480/380/280/180/100 for a 7:30pm curtain.

Kronos Quartet and Wu Man are coming to town March 18, and this show will rule. I've seen Kronos 3 times since 1995, and I've got a bunch of Wu Man CD's (pipa; she rules equally). They're doing music by folks like Tan Dun, Terry Riley, and a transcription of a Sigur Ros tune. Repeat: rule.
