Contributor Description

This June we embark on voyage to the southern continent. Australia had no indigenous grape vines. It was a British ship arriving from South Africa whom brought Australia’s first vines in 1788; which were quickly planted, but promptly died. It took years of experimenting, and by the 1840s they got it right creating an amazing wine culture. Thirty-so-years later, Australian wines were winning awards everywhere, even in France. Come learn how Australia became a renowned wine country along with our introduction to Hollick, an original cellar built in the 1860 in Coonawarra. We will taste three amazing wines paired with a three course meal:

  1. Red Ridge White (Blend Chardonnay and Semillion)

  2. Red Ridge Red (Blend Carbenet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot)

  3. Hollick Wranttonbully Shiraz
