Underground Resistance are back in Shanghai.

In December 2007, Void had the pleasure of hosting the official opening party of The Shelter - which they did by inviting DJ Nomadico of the legendary Detroit Techno collective, Underground Resistance, to take Shanghai to a new level of musical exposure. On that night, someone in the crowd handed Nomadico a note saying they had lived in Shanghai for eight years and never heard any music like it. (link)

It is with great pleasure then, that Void welcome another member of this infamous collective - Santiago Salazar. Originally hailing from Los Angeles, Santiago's own music, and DJing style, bring Latin-flavoured house music into the mix, alongside funky techno cuts. His sound is soulful, mid-tempo with a strong groove - a perfect send off to another long Shanghai summer.

Santiago is a highly-rated producer in his own right, having recorded not only for Underground Resistance, but also for Detroit maestro Carl Craig's hugely respected Planet E label. Not content with that Santiago has his own Ican Productions imprint, and also a member of the Los Hermanos group, known for their fusing of Latin rythyms with house and techno.
