Hitman Jef Costello (Alain Delon), a.k.a. the “Samouraï”, has to kill a night-club owner. Suspected by the police, he has a perfect alibi developed with his mistress. The police superintendent is helpless. But for the killer, there is more dangerous than a policeman : those who placed the contract.

The movie will be followed by a discussion led by Mr Liu Wei, producer and announcer for the radio and by Mr Thierry Berthommier, teacher at the Alliance Française de Shanghai.
